Bhaktapur Durbar Square

Today Bhaktapur is known as the open museum and a living heritage. Brick paved enclave of the old royal palace buildings dating back 13th to 14th centuries, artistic temples and exquisite artwork offers a picture of the grandeur of medieval Nepal. Changu Narayan Temple : Originally built in the early 4th century, it is a pagoda style Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. All the stone carvings in the temple courtyard were done by Newari artisians in 5th and 6th centuries, which make it one of the single greatest concentrations of ancient art in Nepal
