The Everest Base Camp Trek begins with a short scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The journey to the base camp then begins by travelling through the Sagarmatha National Park which is a rocky and spectacular landscape. While hiking up you will have an opportunity to enjoy the calm mountain atmosphere, monastery visit and the Sherpa culture in the Namche Bazaar. Namche bazaar (3440m) is the capital of Sherpas and a gateway to the Mt. Everest. Someday should be spent in the Namche Bazaar for the proper recovery and gathering energy for higher altitudes. The Vastness of Thyangboche monastery (3880m) can be explored before heading to Dingboche(4360m).
The alpine landscape becomes more rugged on climbing the tree line to Gorak Shep(5288m) through Lobuche(4930m). The trek to Everest Base Camp (5545m) over the Khumbu glacier moraines is a challenging effort yet achievable and rewarding. The panoramic view of the Himalayan region and stunning glaciers around seen from vantage point Kalapathhar will make you understand the immense international plea gained by the Mt. Everest and Sagarmatha National Park.
After arriving at the Everest base Camp, trekkers will have an opportunity to explore new surrounding and enjoy their achievements. Instead of hiking down to Lukla from the Everest base camp, trekkers will fly back from Pheriche which is just below the Everest base camp. This is a lifetime adventure you will ever embark on.
